
David Lanum, M.D.
Dr. Lanum graduated from the University of Washington, School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the San Bernardino County Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He has been on board as a faculty member since 1998. Currently, he serves as the Chair for the Department of Family Medicine. He has a special interest in ICU medicine and resident education. In his spare time he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two young children.

Niren Raval, D.O.
Dr. Raval graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He also completed a fellowship in Faculty Development at Michigan State University. He has been a member of our faculty since 1997. He serves as the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program at ARMC. His areas of special medical interest include health behavior change, counseling, and OMT. In his spare time he enjoys yoga, reading, woodworking, bonsai, and spending quality time with his wife and two boys.

Aimee Vercio, M.D.
Dr. Vercio graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where she served as Associate Chief Resident. She joined our faculty in 2007. She currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the Westside Family Health Center. Her special interest is women’s health and colposcopy. In her spare time, Dr. Vercio enjoys surfing with her husband.

Anushree Gupta, M.D.
Dr. Gupta graduated from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University. Her areas of special interest include chronic disease management and various patient procedures. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Bonnie Ito, MSW, LCSW
Bonnie completed her undergraduate studies at Pacific Union College and received her graduate training at the University of California at Berkeley and has been a member of our faculty since 1989. She is the Director of Behavioral Sciences for the Family Medicine Residency Program. She has special interests in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, cognitive behavioral therapy and behavior modification for lifestyle change. In her spare time she enjoys the theatre, traveling, reading, and fitness.

Christina Sugirtharaj, M.D.

Deborah Small, M.D.
Dr. Small graduated from Saint George’s University and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She has been a member of our team since 2001. She currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the Fontana Family Health Center. Areas of special medical interest include Women’s Health. In her spare time, she enjoys being involved in community outreach to pregnant teens and providing free medical care to the homeless in Los Angeles.

Edward Keiderling, M.D.
Dr. Keiderling graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Marshall University. He has been a faculty member at ARMC since 1991. Areas of special medical interest include in-patient medicine. In his spare time he enjoys reading, history, and traveling.

Emily Robison, DO
Dr. Emily Robison graduated from Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2014 where she served as chief resident and joined our faculty thereafter. Areas of special interest include patient centered medical home, shared medical appointments. In her spare time, she likes to do yoga, listen to live music and spend time with family.

Eugene Ho, M.D.
Dr. Ho graduated from Ohio State College of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2012. He joined our faculty following the completion of his training. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family.

Febbis Balinos, M.D.
Dr. Balinos graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and spent a number of years serving Filipino communities. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2009 and joined our faculty thereafter. She currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the McKee Family Health Center. Her areas of special medical interest include out-patient clinic practice, hospitalist work and urgent care.

Frances McIntyre, D.O.

Heather Bohn, D.O.
Dr. Heather Bohn graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2012. She also holds a Masters of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She joined our faculty in 2012. Areas of special interest include ultrasonography and data visualization.

James Evans, M.D.
Dr. Evans graduated from University of California San Diego and completed his Family Medicine residency training at the San Bernardino County Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He has been on faculty since 1992. He has a special interest in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Wilderness Medicine. He is also the Medical Director for Home Health Services at ARMC. Dr. Evans is married and has four children. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, rock climbing, traveling off-road, being a Cub Scout leader, and training dogs for search and rescue.

Joachim “Joe” Brown, D.O.
Dr. Brown graduated from Western University of Health Sciences and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He has been a member of our faculty since the summer of 2010. He is deeply involved in biomedical research. Outside of the medical field, Dr. Brown is an avid soccer player and soccer fan.

Juan Velasquez, M.D.
Dr. Velasquez graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with his wife, Dr. Melendez. Dr. Velasquez worked for the Indian Health Service for several years before joining our faculty in 2006. Dr. Velasquez enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.

Leala Lettice, D.O.
Dr. Lettice graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She holds a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Florida. She has been a faculty member with ARMC since 2018. Her areas of special interest include preventative medicine.

Luis Chaname, D.O.
Dr. Chaname graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He has been a faculty member since 2002. His areas of special interest include Pulmonary, ICU and Geriatric Medicine. In his spare time he enjoys traveling.

Maria Rodriguez, M.D.
Dr Rodriguez graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico and completed her residency in Family Medicine at ARMC. She holds a Bachelors degree in Biology from UC Riverside. She has been a faculty member with ARMC since 2016. Her areas of special interest include chronic disease management, women's health and resident education. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with her family and friends.

Marianne Ronay, M.S.N, F.N.P.
Marianne graduated from the University of California Riverside with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychobiology. She received her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Riverside Community College, her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing at Cal State University, and her FNP Master’s at University of Southern California. She also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona with Dr. Andrew Weil. She joined our faculty in 1995. Marianne’s special interest is in women’s health issues. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, bicycling and kayaking. Marianne states, “I want to enhance my patient’s health and I want them to feel good about themselves.”

Mark Shiu, D.O.
Dr. Shiu graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. In addition, he received his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from UCLA. He has been on faculty since 2006. He is a fellow of both the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is also in private practice in Rancho Cucamonga. His area of interests include hospital medicine, medical economics and resident education.

Michael Tomkins, D.O.
Dr. Tomkins earned his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering at Tufts University, and his D.O. from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He completed his residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He joined the faculty for both the inpatient and outpatient services in 2013. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, sailing, hiking, and travelling.

Dr. Moaddel graduated from AUC and completed her residency in Family Medicine at ARMC. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UCLA. She has been a faculty member with ARMC since 2020. Her areas of special interest include functional medicine and optimizing lifestyle to obtain wellness and health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts, and going on hikes.

Dr. Pham graduated from American University of Caribbean and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from California State University at Long Beach. He has been a faculty member since 2009. His areas of special interest include Gastroenterology, Cardiology and Geriatric Medicine. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.

Pooja Gupta, D.O
Dr. Gupta graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She joined our faculty in 2004. Areas of special interest include women’s health, health maintenance and disease prevention. When asked about her experience as a resident at ARMC she stated, “I couldn’t have asked for a better residency program.”

Rachel Kaufman, M.D.

Rosa Cortes, M.D.
Dr. Cortes graduated from the University of Guadalajara School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She also completed a one-year fellowship in OB/GYN at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She has been with us since 2003. Areas of special medical interest include obstetrics. In her spare time Dr. Cortes enjoys dancing, racquetball and shopping. In addition to her credentials above, her children state that she is “Super Mom!”

Ruben Avagimov, M.D.
Dr. Avagimov graduated from the Azerbaijan State Medical University and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed a one-year fellowship in OB/GYN at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He has been a member of our faculty since 2003. Areas of special medical interest include obstetrics and gynecology.

Siraj Mowjood, D.O.
Dr. Mowjood earned a degree in Anthropology from UCLA then earned his Masters in Public Health with a focus on health education at Loma Linda University. He subsequently went on to medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Mowjood completed his residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2011 and stayed on as a faculty member after graduation. Dr. Mowjood loves working at ARMC and serving the indigent population. He enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family.

Vivian Ngo, M.D.
Dr. Ngo graduated from St George’s University SOM and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where she served as House Staff President. She holds a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA in Social Ecology from UC Irvine. She has been a faculty member with ARMC since 2020. Her areas of special interest include, resident education, inpatient medicine and chronic disease management. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

Yen Ingrid Lai, M.D., ABIHM
Dr. Lai studied neurobiology at UC Berkeley, and received her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. She is dual-board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at ARMC, followed by a fellowship in OB/Women’s Health at USC-affiliated California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. Prior to joining our faculty in 2009, Dr. Lai established a successful OB /Women’s Health track, serving as faculty and Director of Maternity Services/Women’s Health at another Family Medicine Residency Program in California. She is trained in medical acupuncture (UCLA) and enjoys integrating conventional medicine with evidence-based Integrative Holistic Medicine modalities at her private practice. Her other passions include reading, writing, family time, traveling, music, and arts. A graduate of AAFP’s Fundamentals of Management program, she oversees the practice management curriculum at ARMC.

Zeenath Masood, M.D.
Dr.Masood graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She joined our faculty in 2014. Areas of special interest include women’s health and chronic disease management. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, and enjoy good books.
